Singapore Pride

Well, national day has passed for about 2 weeks so let's talk about another aspect of Singapore pride.
There are well, food (We should seriously be proud of our food) , how different races work together
But what about singapore's national flower?
Vanda 'Miss Joaquim (or maybe orchids in general)
I visited gardens by the bay just recently for the singapore garden festival and I was mesmerized with the different orchids and hydrangea and many more different flowers that I can't recognize.
My whole family followed RC as it was cheaper and we took a coach with many other bukit panjang residents.

We finally reached!
Seems like everyone's excited

I like the idea of how different people of different ages and race all come together to see the flowers and spend time with their family. Flowers are something that both the young and old can enjoy and have fun together.

And finally the orchids!

There was a long queue to this tower which I then realized was designed by a japan designer and ravished in thenewspapers. We soon joined the queue to enter the tower.
The view when you enter the tower! It was astonishing!

Overall, I really enjoyed this morning'a outing!

Travelling

Today, I would like to talk about a recent place that I have travelled just last month.
I have always been fantasizing about travelling to different countries, learning new cultures and simply observing the different people, buildings and atmosphere of that particular country.
I would also like to say I am very blessed to be able to be able to go to a few countries at this age as i know of some of my friends who are older but family are unable to have the financial ability to take a plane and go on a holiday.

My destination was Perth. It was the second time I was visiting Australia. The first time was Sydney.
Unlike the other times, I went with my mum's colleagues which was given to them as an incentive trip.
As I happened to be working at my mum's office doing administration work,I was given the task to plan my first itinerary, plan the budget and book the tickets. I'd almost made the whole group stuck at the airport for the wrong particulars i registered for our plane tickets. Luckily, I had my colleague to help me. There are many things for me to learn.

Perth is very slow pace. Most shops closes at 5pm and unlike Singapore, people aren't in a rush or taking out their phone to take pictures of the food and mostly focus on spending time talking and eating with their friends.
I also saw many parents bringing their children to the zoo or playground during the weekends and rneally spending time teaching them to skate and play with them.
I feel that these are things that Singaporeans should learn more from instead of just passing our phone and pads to our children to let them pass time in fast food restaurants.

Lesson

Today, during Creative Thinking,we were taught to think out of the box and use different ideas to broach the same subject. We were given many topics as an Individual like "How to use a raincoat" or "How to catch a butterfly". At the end, we decided to use "How to use a pair of chopsticks" as more members chose this topic so we had more ideas.
We were then given the task to draw out our ideas and present it to the class.
However, before drawing it out, Ms Khim let us watch 3 advertisements on the same subject- CARS.
I'd realised there are many different way of showcasing a product- be it serious, fun and let me the same product in a different light.
Hence,I realised there are many ways of showcasing the same item.
Some were pratical...and others......not so.
I was intrigued at  some of my groupmates' suggestions.
eg, hitting a mafia with chopsticks (joker style)
Sadly,it probably only happens in movies.
While others were more pratical like using  a chopstick for a 3 pin plug.

I suggested using chopsticks as decoration for hair.
I'd tried it before and well.....great temporary solution for holding up your hair!

And thats it!
Brainstorming ideas isnt as dull as I thought!
